Do you do custom orders? I'd really love to get the Mary Jane style in the midnight colour! (or something similar :) )
Yes I do! Just send me an email with your preferred style, colour, size and country and I will send an invoice to you. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.
Hmm, they look kind of delicate. Will they break easily?
No way! When I redesigned these shoes in November 2017, I chose to use a high quality hemp yarn. Hemp is arguably the strongest natural fiber in the world, which makes this the perfect material to use for these shoes. The knots in the crochet also reinforces the yarn, so you should be able to wear them day after day with no problems at all.
Okay great, but what if they do break?
The good news is that these shoes are unique in the way that they can be repaired again and again (but hopefully that won't be needed!)
If you see a breakage in the crochet, do not throw them away! In some rare instances, the yarn can weaken where your toe or heel continually rubs.
You can send them back to me with a pre-paid return postage bag, and I will try my best to repair them.
If they can not be repaired and you have contacted me within 12 months of purchase, I will replace the shoes with a new pair - free of charge.
Please note, normal wear and tear is not considered a fault.
I've received my shoes, and they arent 100% perfect!
These shoes are made by human hands, not machines. There are so many steps that need to match up perfectly, each stitch having an effect on the row above. Even though the team puts in a great effort to make sure each pair is made to the highest quality, sometimes there will be one or two inconsistencies. I believe this adds to the beauty and charm of the shoe.
If you are unhappy with the overall look of the shoe, please contact me with a description or photo of the problem, and I will try my best to fix it.
What size shoe will fit me?
Most sizes will be the same as your normal shoe size, however you can find measurements on the product pages. We recommend ordering a size around 5mm longer than your foot to ensure your toenails do not strain the crochet.
I've just tried my shoes on, but they are too tight!
It is normal for a new pair of Luludu shoes to feel a bit tight while the knots in the crochet are loosening. I suggest wearing them for around 15 minutes, taking them off, then trying them on again. If there is still discomfort, you can send them back to me and I can add an extra row either into the motif or around the base depending on how much extra room you are needing.
I have wide feet. Will these shoes fit me?
The measurement of each shoe is listed on the product page. You can now purchase shoes designed especially for wider feet by following the 'shop' dropdown menu
How do I clean the shoes?
I recommend hand washing your shoes in cold water with a bit of soap powder or liquid, and drying in the shade.
What is your exchange/refund policy?
I understand that buying shoes online can be tricky business, with every foot shape being different, and every company offering different sizing.
If you purchase a pair of Luludu ethically made crochet shoes and they are not the right fit, I am happy to either exchange them for you, or alternatively I can refund you the full sale amount (excluding shipping) provided they are returned in the same state you bought them in (unworn, undamaged and not worn outside).
Unless the product received is incorrect, the customer will be responsible for postage fees to return the item. Original postage fees shall not be refunded. I recommend using a traceable method of post to ensure the safe delivery of your item, as I will do for you.
If you are exchanging the item and you live in Australia, I will pay for return postage back to you.
If you live overseas, you may need to pay for 50% of the return postage price, as postage can cost me up to AUD$44 if the package is over 500g which unfortunately I can not absorb. Please message me for more details.
Please contact me within 30 days of purchase and I will send you instructions on how to complete your return.
